MOBA games are no stranger to the world of gaming, certain ones have definitely left their mark on gamers around the world… The good news about MOBA games is there are plenty of amazing ones out there for people to choose from, the downside is people tend to stick with the only a few. Typically once people find a MOBA that they like, they end up gravitating towards it for a very long time, take League of Legends for example. However, every once in a while something truly special comes along and pulls people from the repetition of their current gaming routing into something new… Paragon is that game.
…it is not as simple as it appears to be.
For those of you who may be new to MOBA games, lets start off with a brief explanation of what the objective of these games are… Paragon is a MOBA, or Multiplayer Online Battle Arena from Epic Games where two teams of five players go against each other using various strategies from a 3rd person perspective. Players on each team start at opposite ends of the arena and must fight their way to the other side to destroy the other teams Core objective. Seems pretty simple right? However it is not as simple as it appears to be, especially considering the caliber of player on either side of the fence. Battles can last for over an hour at times depending on the level of proficiency each team has, as well as the types of characters that are chosen to battle.
…this one very quickly drew me in.
Paragon is a very interesting MOBA for me because it seems to have a bit more of a premium feel to it, than say a League of Legends does. By that I simply mean the characters themselves appear to be a little more ‘adult’ in my opinion, which lends to the realistic possibility of the premise in my mind at least.. Typically I don’t go for MOBA games, however this one very quickly drew me in. Don’t forget to check out our first impressions video above for a deeper look at Paragon! If you are looking to try out a new battle arena game, give this one a shot. It will apparently be available on the PS4 as well as the PC with cross play abilities!
